5 MISCONCEPTIONS ABOUT WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHERS
... which we would finally like to clarify.
As wedding photographers, we are often confronted with prejudices that do not always reflect reality. In this blog post I would like to expose some of these misconceptions and clarify what it truly means to work as a wedding photographer.
"Wedding photographers are expensive": Yes, wedding photography can be an investment, but it is worth it. The price of a wedding photographer covers not only the hours we spend on the wedding day, but also the time for planning, post‑processing and the use of high‑quality equipment. We also invest in ongoing education to deliver the best possible results to our clients.
"Wedding photographers are controlling": This misconception could not be further from the truth. As wedding photographers, our job is to document the day as discreetly as possible, without disturbing the natural flow. We want you to feel relaxed and enjoy your day to the fullest, without worrying about us.
"Wedding photographers only do posed shots": While we certainly take some posed portraits, that is only a small part of our work. Most of our photos come from natural moments and genuine emotions. Our goal is to tell the story of your wedding authentically and lovingly, not just create posed images.
"Wedding photographers are only there for the couple": We love capturing the unique stories of every wedding day, and that of course includes the guests. We want everyone to see themselves in our images and to have the special moments of the day preserved forever.
"Wedding photographers are interchangeable": Every wedding photographer brings their own personality, style and vision to their work. We understand that chemistry between you and your photographer is crucial to achieving great results. That’s why it’s important to find a photographer who fits you and your vision.
I hope I was able to clear up some of these prejudices and give you a better insight into the world of wedding photography.
